Information Collection Practices

Information You Provide to Us

In operating the Site, we collect information you provide to us when you access the Site, including when you complete forms, create an account with us, or communicate with us about our services via comments, e-mails, or other forms of communication. In connection with those activities, we collect personal information from you such as name, email address, phone number, or mailing address when you request information about the Site, register for newsletters or other communications, request customer or technical support, or otherwise communicate with us. Other information we collect includes your account log-in details when you create an account with us, credit card or other financial information when you purchase services through the Site, and reviews or comments you leave on the Site.

Information We Collect Automatically

In addition, our servers automatically recognize visitors’ domain names and IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet). No personal information about you is revealed in this process. The Site may also gather anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify you, but that may be helpful for improving the services we offer. From time to time, we may use the standard “cookies” feature of major browser applications that allows us to store a small piece of data on your computer about your visit to the Site. Cookies help us learn which areas of the Site are useful and which areas need improvement. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings on your browser. However, if you choose to disable this function, your experience with the Site may be diminished and some features may not work as they were intended.

Use of Information

We may use your contact information to verify your identity, follow up with communications or transactions initiated on the Site, send you information about our company or our products or services, or to inform you of changes to the Site or the services offered through the Site. We may use your financial information to verify your qualifications and bill you for products or services offered through the Site. We may also use your information to customize and tailor your experience on the Site, or display content in which we think you might be interested or in accordance with your preferences.

We use anonymous information to analyze Site traffic, but we do not examine this information for individually-identifying information. In addition, we may use anonymous IP addresses to help diagnose problems with or administer the Site. We may use cookies to deliver content specific to your preferences or for other purposes.

Sharing of Information

We will not share your personal information with any third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide you with the services offered by us, to comply with the law, or as otherwise described in this Policy. We may share your contact and financial information with third parties who assist us by performing required services (such as hosting, billing, order fulfillment, data storage, and security) related to our operation of the Site. We may disclose personal information in the event of a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets, in which case personal information we collect via the Site will be among the assets transferred to the buyer. Further, we may disclose your personal information to third parties to comply with any court order or other legal obligation, enforce or apply any terms of service for the Site or other agreements; and protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our clients, customers, employees, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection, information security, and other related matters.

We have partnered with leading payment gateway Stripe to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our users. Stripe, and not Empowering Health, is responsible for the security of these transactions. Stripe’s payment gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks. For additional information regarding the privacy of your financial information, please read Stripe’s privacy policy.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information against accidental loss or destruction, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the personal information in our possession. This includes, for example, firewalls, password protection and other access and authentication controls, and encryption of data during transmission through public Internet.  However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot ensure or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or store on the Site, and you do so at your own risk.
